Second Cup o Coffee

It's SO SO cold out! I am over winter and ready for spring. Remember when I wanted some snow? Well we got it and I'm over it! Bring the spring temperatures and sunny days back!! I will say, I am pretty darn proud of myself for getting 3 posts out this week! My week started out pretty bad and is so far ending on a positive note.

ONE
It really is cold out and has been for the past week. I think everyone in the US is dealing with bitter cold temperatures, even in Florida!! Today I wanted a second cup of coffee because I am just tired of being cold and wanted a little caffeine pick me up! I didn't have a rough night's sleep either.

TWO
I've been a little bit of a shoe shopping addict this week......with the approval of the husband of course.

On Tuesday, Zulily had their Tom's special and I was able to get me a new pair of Ballet Flats for half off! I love the pair of ballet flats I have now and am so excited to start wearing these one it get's warmer!

On Wednesday, Amazon had snow boots 56% off! I had two pairs of Bearpaw boots and my black pair bit the dust several weeks ago (the soles cracked and leaked water in my socks). I ordered a grey pair this time and cannot wait till they come in tomorrow!! Perfect timing with another winter storm expected.

THREE
I am seriously becoming obsessed with Trader Joe's. I was able to pick up this organic haul on Tuesday for $17! This includes baby spinach, bananas, romaine lettuce, baby carrots, and 2 bags of sweet potatoes (I plan on making Luke some more baby food). The Frosted Flakes and Pub Cheese were for Andy. He loved the cheese and hasn't tried the cereal yet.

FOUR
Lately I've been a Pandora addict and listen to the 80's Pop Radio on a daily basis at work and even in the car on the ride home. I also love the 90's Pop Radio and the 'NSync channel.

FIVE
Ending this Five on Friday with my cutie patootie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He LOVES bathtime! I was able to get a couple good shots of him the other night. He was pretty tired here but still enjoys the heck out of his nightly bath!

Up Since 3:30AM

Nothing says, "Yay for Friday" like being up since 3:30 AM! I don't mind though because I think Luke is dealing with some kind of stomach bug or else his stomach doesn't handle summer squash very well....I have no idea what's going on.

Luke came home in different clothes than we brought him in yesterday (daycare can't answer what happened). I am guessing he got sick all over those clothes. I then checked his daily sheet from daycare and he didn't eat much or sleep much at all. So we let him play in his jumperoo but he just wasn't having it. A couple moments cuddling on Mommy and Luke fell asleep. So we let him sleep until 7 PM, woke him up for a bath and some bottle and then back down for the night. He took a couple minutes to settle down in bed but was fast asleep by 8 PM and Mommy was fast asleep by 8:15 PM. He woke up once at 1:30 AM but he was just babbling and kind of whining, not crying like he was hungry. He was able to put himself back to sleep and was back up at 3:30 AM. I went in to get him and his sheets and jammies were covered in throw up. Poor buddy. I felt so bad that I left him like that too....but I had no idea. So I changed him and his sheets, fed him a bottle and laid him back down but he just wasn't having it. I went back into his room and rocked him asleep and decided to bring him in our room to sleep in the Rock n Play. Woke him back up at 5:30 AM to get him a bath and changed and to daycare. I feel like an awful mother for sending him to daycare but he has no fever and my boss is on vacation so it's tough for me to take the day off right now.

After his bath this morning.

Ready to go to daycare!

So here I am, trying to stay awake and counting down the hour's until I am off work today....yeah it's one of those days.

Let's get to Five on Friday after that novel....

ONE -

We are not big sports people but still plan on watching some of the Superbowl. Especially since I think the Patriots cheated to get into the Superbowl, so GO SEAHAWKS and kick the Patriots butt! But I plan on making some Buffalo Chicken Dip to snack on that day. I am excited for the half time show with Katy Perry though!

TWO -

We are Pampers fan's in our household. I was noticing that we are needing to stock up on more diapers and looked at Target's ad and what do I find, that Pampers diapers have a HUGE deal this week. Buy 2 boxes and get a $15 Target gift card!! So I purchased 4 boxes. I also had 4 coupons where if you purchased a box of Pampers diapers, get a free pack of wipes. SWEET, another $7ish savings! So I went to checkout and my cashier along with her cashier friend tried to make it out that I couldn't use my manufacture's coupon because I was getting the gift cards and those "essentially made the wipes free". Uhhhhh no, get your manager. So the manager comes over and tells the cashier that I am right and fixes the wipes to being free. I received $30 in gift cards and those wipes for free (a $7.92 savings).

THREE -

Women's Favorite Tank Navy Reunion XL

I found this tank yesterday at Target on clearance for $5! I then had a cartwheel coupon for an additional 20% off so I picked this up for $4! I love these tanks because they are perfect to layer with work outfits. They are comfy but nice enough to wear at work.

FOUR -
Philips Avent BPA Free Classic 4 Ounce Bottle to First Cup Trainer, 4 Months+

I don't want Luke to grow up too fast, but with him doing so well eating in his high chair, I thought I would start finding the perfect sippy cup for him to drink from at the high chair. I found this one yesterday and am excited to let Luke try it out this weekend once he is feeling better. I know the opening is a bit bigger than he is use too, but I think once he gets the hang of it, he will love it!

FIVE -

I am LOVING my new Ello Water bottle that I purchased from amazon! It's a glass water bottle that I can drink essential oils from. This week I have been drinking water with lime essential oil like it's going out of style.

Happy Friday ya'll and wish me luck in staying away today! :)

Loving Lipstick

Oh Happy Day, it's Friday!!!!!

1.

I don't know why, but lately I've been about lipsticks (which has never happened in my 30 years of life), but lately, I want a little color on my lips. I found a lipstick at CVS that was half off from Covergirl and it was ok, I wasn't a fan of the color on. Then I went to Target on Saturday and found these; Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie and Peach Parfait. The main reason I picked them up was because I was the sign advertising the price was $1.97. Well heck yeah, I'll try these two lipsticks at only $2 a piece and if I don't like them, then who cares! They then rang up at $6.97 a piece. I told the cashier about the price I saw and she pulled the tag and said you get the $1.97 price. I was then kicking myself and should have picked up the red color that I was debating. But oh well! I tried them on at home and LOVE the colors! They are not too much but give you at least a little color to your lips.

2.

Look what came in the mail a day early!!!! I was so excited to wear my new FitBit Charge HR last night. I got it all set up with my computer and phone. Wore it all night long and it killed my right wrist (I write and eat left handed which makes watch wearing on your left hand feeling bulky). So now the FitBit is on my left wrist and I am still not as fond of it. I am thinking it's because it is too small. I ordered the Small size and I have the FitBit on the 3rd to last notch. I cant use the last 2 notches because the piece that holds down the strap doesn't have a place to "lock" it into place. Sooooo I am thinking about sending this back and getting a size Large. We shall see. I love everything else about it though.

3.

Mr. Luke has had a cough and it likes to wake him up at night. So we decided to put an "angle" in his crib to help him sleep at night. Well this small angle plus he is moving more in bed had made him wake up vertical when I put him to sleep horizontal in bed. What a silly goof.

4.

For Christmas from my Dad and his wife, Deb, Luke received many presents including this little fun number. I found it on Amazon and thought it would be great for his high chair or when we are out to eat and he is bored. It suction cups to the table so it doesn't go anywhere and its fun to look at and spin. You can find this fun little Sassy Wonder Wheel toy here

5.

If you haven't figured out yet, we are amazon.com fanatics!!! This little fun number we order from there too: The Mum & Bubi Solids Starter Kit. We made baby food over the weekend (sweet potatoes and summer squash) and froze them in the Mum & Bubi freezer trays. At first we couldn't figure out how to get the frozen food out of the trays and that's where YouTube helped us out. After we watched a 30 second video we tried the trays and and they came out with little to no effort! Score! I plan on blogging about making baby food next week. But for now, I highly suggest these trays! :)

Finally Friday!

ONE -

I am having a hard time finding clothes that fit me and that are comfortable on me. I don't know if it's from having a baby or if it's my taste now that I am getting older, but I am just having a hard time finding clothes that I like. I found these hoodies on Oldnavy.com and took a chance on them. I thought if I didn't like them, then I can return them. I also liked that they came in sizes of "Tall". Why it's important that they have tall sizes is because I absolutely hate winter clothes that shrink in the arms and stomach area! Why do manufactures do that!?!! After washing and wearing these hoodies, I am hooked! In fact, I even ordered all the colors possible. I have a grey stripped, a navy blue, a grey and a black one. Fine by me though! As long as I feel good about myself, I am OK with it!

TWO -

On Monday we took Luke to the doctor to check for ear infections. You can read about that here. When leaving the office I noticed some lotion samples and grabbed one for myself. I've tried it out on my hands and LOVE it! Now I need to try it on Luke's really dry skin he has on his legs. If it works, I am hooked!

THREE -

Oh buddy, I need to blog about these!!! But I wanted to mention just how excited I am to try out my doTerra oils! I at first saw people blogging and instagramming about them and thought, "Meh". Then for some reason I was intrigued and wanted to try them! I received my starter pack on Monday and have been diffusing like a crazy woman! I LOVE how potent these smells are!! I am not a fan of diffusing the peppermint as much, but look forward to trying it out with headaches and such! With us dealing with the sickies and such and I also pulled the trigger and ordered OnGuard! It should be here today and I can't wait to diffuse it. I am hoping it helps keep the sickies out of our house!

FOUR -

You may have seen this lovely photo of me on instagram about 2 weeks ago with me saying I did T25 for my first time ever. Well.....that was my first time and only time since I've done it. I feel so lazy! But seriously, life just doesn't slow down. OK, you're reading it here, I am starting this back up. You all can hold me accountable too!

FIVE -

Of course I cannot forget to share this ADORABLE video of my Mr. Luke for you all to see! He was feeling much better Thursday and I got this cute video of him laughing. Please ignore my goofy voice when taking to him. :)

Happy Friday!!

Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

There is this commercial on the radio that comes on every morning while I am driving to work and they use the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Andy Williams for their "jingle" music.  This is my favorite time of the year, SUMMER!  I love the warmth, the sunshine, the swimming, the dress wearing, and the not bulky clothes (especially when you're pregnant)!

 Not only is this my favorite time of the year, but today is one of my favorite days of the week!!!  First, its the last work day of the week.  Second, it signals that another work week is gone.  Third, it means its another week closer to meeting my baby boy!!!!!!  Eeeeee! (That's me getting excited!)

Oh I also need to issue a retraction to yesterday posting about the nursery:
I said that nothing was finished in the nursery that we wanted to get done last weekend (ANDY ARE YOU READING THIS?  LOL!)  Andy did get the white shelf hung on Sunday.  I apologize for my error in not getting my facts straight!  ;)  Haha!

Jen from The Adventures of Our Army Life  asked if she could send me something.  I don't know if I have ever shared this information, but I have a hard time trusting people.  Jen has been a great blog friend and I felt like I could trust her.  So I gave her my address and this is what showed up in my mailbox yesterday.  How cute is this outfit!?!!!!  Andy and I immediately LOVED it!  In fact, its already in the wash getting cleaned so that Baby Boy can wear it when he arrives!  :)  Thank you so so SO much Jen for such a thoughtful gift!  Jen and I even traded phone numbers, so now we are texting buddies!  :)  YAY!!

I want to touch on this more next week, however; my free breast pump came in on Tuesday!  My insurance covers a free breast pump for pregnancy, and I took advantage of it!  I plan on breastfeeding for at least a year and with having to go back to work, this will help my goal!

Keeley is loving the sunshine on her fur!  This is her favorite thing to do in the spring/summer/fall!

I made Andy stop by Sams Wednesday night so that I could get some more apple slices and blueberry muffins.  I picked up some cherries and this HUGE box of cheese peanut butter crackers.  That's 45 packs of those crackers for $5.50!!  SCORE!

I had to save this message between Andy and I.  On Wednesday he was so excited to go to the doctors appointment to she how baby boy is growing.  When I read his comment, my heart did melt just a little bit.  :)  LOVE!!

Good Friday

Not only is today really Good Friday, it really is a Good Friday and I've only been up for 2 hours so far!  :)  If that isn't positive and optimism for you, I don't know what is!

{ONE}

My first trip to a veggie/fruit stand (farmer's market) on Sunday!!  I plan on writing a post more about this next week.  All I am going to say right now is that it is AWESOME!!

{TWO}

Hey hey!  Look who I got to see on Saturday!  Jackson and Claire!!! I get to see them again this weekend on Easter Sunday!

{THREE}

Stopped by the Goodwill on Sunday and found these cute onesies for Baby Boy.  The total for all 4 of these were $3.50!!  I'll take it!  The dinosaur onesies are in honor of my sister, because she has the odd nickname of T-Rex and I thought these were just too cute to pass up!

{FOUR}

19 weeks already!!  I am almost half way there to meeting Baby Boy and am SOOOO excited!

{FIVE}

Remember when I was telling you yesterday that I have that horrible sciatic pain in my right buttocks/back?  Yeah, well Andy taught me a way to stretch it out and it totally helps!!  Every time I lie down to get in the stretch Keeley stands right over my head and starts to kiss me.  That photo of her is making sure that I am OK!

{BONUS}

I can't forget to post a photo of my Smokey!  Here he is with his new best friend....lol!  I can imagine Smokey saying, "You are my best friend and I shall name you 'Squishy'"  Haha!!

This weekend's plans include cleaning up the house, cooking and getting ready for Sunday, and then enjoying Easter Sunday with all of our family!  I was worried about the weather there in the beginning of the week, but now I am happy with it.  High is suppose to be around 78 degrees and there is tiny chance of rain (only 10%)!  I hope you all have a great Easter Sunday!

Happy Friday - Birthday Edition!

This morning when my alarm went off, I was so happy to remember that it was Friday!  Not that I had a bad week, just excited to get some sleep this weekend.  This pregnancy is still kicking me in the butt!

{ONE}

Baby K is a HE!  We found out on March 11th and we are thrilled!  I'll be honest, I SWORE that Baby K was a she.  I would have even bet money on it, and I am not a betting money kind of girl. To hear that Baby K is a Boy was a shock at first and then I started to get all these new ideas in my head for the nursery!  I even went out with my mama last Saturday to do a little BOY shopping at Babies R Us!  My mom got Baby K, 2 new outfits.

The turkey butt is SOOOO cute!  The front of it says, "My First Thanksgiving".  We also loved the whale outfit, with the cute little whale feet.  :)  I also picked up 4 pairs of pants at Target for Baby K ($2.50 a piece!) in sizes 3 and 6 months.

{TWO}

Wednesday marked my 30th Birthday!  My work surprised me with a HUGE cookie cake and a cute Birthday balloon!  It brought me a smile to my face that morning while I walked into my office half asleep.

{THREE}

For lunch on my Birthday, I met up with my best friend Ali and her two adorable sons Sam and Max.  We ate at Lion's Choice (where else would I want to eat at?!?!!  LOL)  She had these BEAUTIFUL flowers and the adorable baby items for me!  Andy LOVED the onesie and the bip is just TOO cute!!  I can't wait for Baby K to be here!!!

{FOUR}

My mom is seriously, the BEST!!  We had her stop by our house to let Keeley out after work and feed the hangry animals.  She surprised me with this BEAUTIFUL tulip arrangement!  I also had to screen shot that text between me and her cause I love her so!  I don't know where I would be without that woman!  Can we also talk about how cute that vase is?!?!!  It a big pink mason jar!  LOVE IT!!!  That arrangement is very me.  :)

{FIVE}

Can we talk about how AMAZING my husband is?!?!!  Seriously, he pulled a HUGE surprise to me by getting me this DSLR camera.  The card has a real whoppie cushion in it and yes we tried it out to see if it really worked.  So funny!  Then in the bag was my camera.  I was talking about how I REALLY wanted my own DSLR camera (even though I have no idea how to use one yet) and he kept telling me that they are too expensive.  I of course knew they were too and was still happy with my other digital camera so thought nothing of him actually getting me a DSLR!  This thing is SO light weight and takes some awesome photos!  I can't wait to get some time this weekend to play with it and really get to know the ins and outs of the camera! Thanks to youtube, I should be able to get to know this camera really well before Baby K arrives.  :)

{SIX} (bonus photos!)

I chose for my Birthday dinner to be at the Cheesecake factory.  Since I do not have a big appetite, I chose a small cesear salad and the appetizer of Fried Mac n Cheese!  We did get some vanilla bean cheesecake to eat at home and you know what, its still sitting in the fridge....that might have to be devoured tonight.
