Halloween PJ Party Link-Up

My first PJ Party Link-Up and I am so excited!  My little one has his cute little Halloween jammies on (thanks be to Dad who put him in these last night after bath because I wouldn't have and then I wouldn't have remembered to link up with you all today) and I am so thrilled to share these photos with you!  I know that the best time to get photos of Luke is right after his first morning bottle.  He is happy and I can get lots of smilers out of him.

Best photo out of the bunch!

Here's hoping that I can get some cute photo's of Luke in his Halloween costume with his cousins Jackson and Claire!  :)

Keeping Watch Over You

It's funny how Friday's are so awesome when you are working.  When you're a stay at home mom, Friday's are just another day.  Although Friday means that we will have Andy home with us all day Saturday and Sunday!! :)

One

Monday and Thursday we had to get little  buddy's heals pricked to get an update on his hemoglobin. I am currently in the process of updating you all about this too. I have many posts in draft form at the moment. Bad news: his hemoglobin went down low again. Good news: no blood transfusion this week. Dr says to just keep an eye on him and if he brings to deteriorate, then we bring him into Cardinal Glennon for that blood transfusion.

Luke LOVES bath time! I started having Andy give him a bath every night. I thought it was a good way for them to bond. The adorable towel is courtesy of Aunt Ali from one of our baby showers.  Its a big towel and he should be able to use it for years to come!

Three

Luke and his stuffed puppy dog from Grandma! I had a "puppy" dog named Puppy (I know, clever name....) and she found this for Luke and couldn't pass up Luke having his own Puppy!  So now he has a stuffed puppy and a real puppy!  :)

Four

These two fur-babies have been amazing!  During the day when its just Luke, me and them we are all together in the same room.  Even if we move to a different room, Smokey and Keeley follow right along with us.

Five

I thought this photo was too cute not to share.  I was cleaning my desk and I turn around and see Smokey peering into Luke's pack n play checking up on him.  I am so glad I caught this moment.  Also see changing pad set up on the entertainment stand.  It's a perfect spot to change Luke when we are downstairs.  Now when he gets bigger that can't happen, but for now, I'm all about it!  :)

5 on Friday is Back!

That's right, Five on Friday is back and what a way for me to start blogging again is to join up with the Five on Friday link up!  Here's hoping I can keep up with blogging still during my maternity leave....

ONE

I found these recently while shopping at Walmart one day and thought I'd give them a try.  Holy YUM and addicting these things are!  I highly recommend these. :)

TWO

How cute is my new purse/diaper bag I snagged for a whopping $20 off a buy/sell/trade site on Facebook!  It's a Petuna Pickle Bottom bag and normally costs $149 and I got it for only $20!  The only issue with the bag is there is a yellow stain on the bottom of it, other than that it's in really good condition.  You will never really see the stain since it's on the bottom of the bag.

THREE

I knew from very early on with my pregnancy that I would be nursing.  I am bound and determined to nurse my baby until he is 1 and knew that I would need some nursing bras.  Since the day he was born I am always wearing a nursing tank top.  If I am out running errands or visiting people then I throw a tshirt over top of the tank top.  That way if I have to nurse while I am out, my stomach isn't exposed and I won't get cold.  I found the best deals on these nursing tank tops from Target; buy 1 get 1 half off!

FOUR

Oh how I LOVE the Rock n Play sleeper!  Ali brought me over her's and it is a godsend!  Ali is hands down the best friend EVER.  Luke loves this thing and sleeps in it pretty much all day and all night.

FIVE

All 3 of my babies together.  This photo was taken the day after we came home with Luke.  Smokey and Keeley both jumped up on my lap and I was able to get a photo of all 3 of them together.  LOVE THIS!!  :)

Happy Friday!

Still here, I promise!

It's been awhile since I have blogged and I have missed it.  Every time I put the thought in of "I'm going to get a blog post up today", the day screamed by and it was already bedtime.  I am amazed at how fast the days go and cannot believe that it is already October!

Currently….
Watching: Friends on TV!  The highlight of my afternoon is that Friends is on TBS and I watch a good 2 hours of it.  I also have all of the episodes recording so if I am bored, I can watch the episodes I missed that day.
Reading: all of the social media apps on my phone including blogger.  I read a lot during my nursing sessions.  I wish the blogger.com website would work on my iPhone a little better, but I deal with it.
Planning: on doing not a whole lot this weekend and I am OK with that!  We are either moving 100% of the time or not at all.
Eating: dinner is a new recipe I found on Facebook called "Easy Crock Pot Potato Soup"

Easy Crock Pot Potato Soup
By Couponing4you

Ingredients:
1 30oz. bag of frozen diced hash browns
1 32 oz box of chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken soup (10 oz)
1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz, not fat free)
3 oz bacon bits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Put the potatoes in the crockpot. Add in the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and half of the bacon bits. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook on low for 8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
An hour before serving, cut the cream cheese into small cubes. Place the cubes in the crock pot. Mix a few times throughout the hour before serving.
Once the cream cheese is completely mixed in, it's ready to serve.
Top with cheddar cheese and some additional bacon bits.
Loving: the special time I am spending with Luke.  I have been home for 3 weeks and am LOVING every minute of it.  It's going to be SO hard for me to go back to work.

The Weather:  it's been thunder storming and raining for almost 24 hours and I am OK with it.  Keeley on the other hand, not OK with it.  She is over the thunder storms!  It's been in the 80's here for the last 2 weeks and I am over that weather also.  I am ready for some fall like weather, sweat pants, NO air conditioning, etc.  I also have had NO desire to put out my Halloween decorations this year because of the weather and also because I am tired....

The Animals:  they have been AMAZING!  Keeley is so protective over Luke and follows us around all day, everyday.  Smokey has gotten better with Luke.  The first couple days with Luke crying Smokey was not happy and would run away.  If you came anywhere near Smokey when you had Luke in your hands we would run from you.  Now he is good with him.  In fact right now Luke is in the Rock n Play and I have Keeley to my left and Smokey to my right sleeping on the couch.

The Husband:  he has been great!  He went back to work on Tuesday and has been working hard.  I know he misses us a lot during the day and I know that we miss him!  Luke sleeps a lot so when Andy comes home he asks when he is next to wake up.  Andy has been so supportive, helpful whenever I need him and loving towards us all.  Without him, we would be a mess.

The Baby:  has been great also!  We had a set back with him Sunday evening where we had to go to the ER with him.  He is ok but he will require testing in a couple months to make sure he is still ok.  I plan on posting about this very soon.  I wrote a blog post while in the hospital with him so it shouldn't take me long to get that story up.  My birth story is another story.  I am really trying to get that up for you all also.

Of course I have to share some baby photos so here you go:
