5 for Five #22

Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Red=Failure
Yello = Semi-completed
Green=Completed

June 10-14th

  1. Work out 2 times this week in the gym, starting today (Monday)  I say semi-completed  because I did go Monday and felt like crap after working out.....so I'm taking a break with the gym and sticking to walking!
  2. Walk at work 4 times this week!  I walked once last week at work, BUT I walked 5 times at home with Keeley (Monday-Friday!!)
  3. Finish the laundry up.   Done on Monday!!
  4. Start cleaning out the closet/dresser.  Almost 3 bags filled.  Just need to finish up the dresser clean up and then re-organize the closet and dressers.
  5. Keep on sewing!  Yep yep sure did!!!
4.5/5 two weeks in a row!!

Let's get to this weeks goals and see me crush them again next Monday, June 24th!

  1. Walk 5 days this week.
  2. Get the rest of my dresser cleaned out.
  3. Organize my dresser and closet
  4. Take unwanted clothes to the Goodwill.
  5. Stop biting my nails!  (I was soooo good about this until early May, and there went my pretty long nails...)
I hope your week goes by fast and fabulous!

5 for Five #20

Monday morning is here and so is the month of June!

Don't you hate it when you get lots of sleep over the weekend and then your sleep Sunday night into Monday morning is horrible and you have just screwed up your "built in extra sleep" time you built up over the weekend is now gone!?!!  That was me once again last night.  I woke up at 2:30am and my brain would not shut off.  Stupid brain.

Let's get back to setting goals with:

Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Since I haven't linked up with Jenn and Jess in almost a month, I have no goals to see if I have achieved them or not, so we will start fresh with all new goals this week.

  1. Work out 3 times this week (Race for the Cure 5k is in 12 days and I did not work out once last week, its crunch time!!)
  2. Walk on lunch at least 2 times this week (I would say more, but the rain is non stop these days in Saint Louis)
  3. Get more green foods in my diet.  The past 3 days I have been HORRIBLE with no green.  Very bad!!
  4. Start typing instructions on how to run payroll at my work.  This needs to be started ASAP!!
  5. Keep sewing on my cross stitch.

I cannot believe that the month of June is already here and I am thrilled to see it.  Now if only the weather would start to cooperate and act like summer is just around the corner!!  Today's high: 70 degrees.  Huh??  That's crazy talk!

5 for Five #19

Currently, we are in Wisconsin.
Tomorrow we are headed back home to the good 'ol Saint Louie!
I miss my Mokies oh so much, cant wait to snuggle on the couch with him again.
A big thanks to my mom and sister for taking such good care of my Mokes!  :)

Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:

4 out of 5, Ill take it!  :)

~Thank god my husband is good at helping me out around the house, because if it weren't for him, the sheets and towels would not have been washed, the car would not have been packed, and I would have been missing several things for our trip.  I did not get vacuuming done because I just ran out of time.  :(

  1. Get home safe and sound (Tuesday morning)
  2. Get all of the laundry cleaned and put away from the trip

5 for Five #18

Thank you sun for FINALLY showing your face this morning!!
What a gloomy weekend Saint Louis had!

Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Aqua=goal reached, Pink=goal not reached}

April 22-26th

  1. Workout 3 times this week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  2. Vacuum the house
  3. Wash sheets and towels
  4. Change out winter sheets in guest bedroom to summer sheets.
  5. Organize the guest bedroom, put away things in the closet.  Make the room pretty again!  :)
~Ugh, what a rough week in my household!  Working out was non-existent for me last week. Vacuuming did take place, but just on the main floor, not the upstairs.  The sheets and towels will be washed today, I never took the effort to work on them over the week. I did change out the sheets in the guest bedroom, but realized we do not have many pillow cases for the amount of pillow we have.  Thanks to Target, we now have 2 more pillow cases to add to the guest room.   I did get some thing put away in the guest room, cleaned it up as much as I could.

It's a new day, a new week, and a short work week for me!!

April 29 - May 3rd
  1. Finish washing sheets and towels
  2. Get my hairs cut
  3. Pack for going out of town
  4. Finish vacuuming upstairs
  5. Get all ends of work all tied up before 2:30 PM on Wednesday (that's when Andy will be picking me up at work)
I hope you all have a fantastic week!

{Aqua=goal reached, Pink=goal not reached}

April 15-19th

  1. Put the construction notice piece of paper up on my front door (To be done ASAP!)
  2. Workout 3 times this week (Goal: Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  3. Drink more water and eat smaller portions.  It's all about portion control.
  4. Stop stressing out!
  5. Take a deep breath when I feel like I am stressing out.
~Dang you construction notice.....completely forgot about this goal.
~Oh working out.  Monday was great.  Wednesday did not happen but Thursday did!  Friday I had every intention on working out, buuuuuuut it did not happen.......bad Jessica.
~Water has become my go to drink.  I drink water all day long at work.  Dinner time I want a  little something different to drink, so I will drink some green tea.
~I was good at not stressing, just need to remind myself that if I feel stressed out, to take a big deep breathe in and slowly exhale.

April 22-26th

  2. Vacuum the house
  3. Wash sheets and towels

{Aqua=goal reached, Pink=goal not reached}

April 8-12th

  1. Workout 3 times this week
  2. Eat dinner at home 4 nights this week

  4. Put the construction notice piece of paper up on my front door (To be done ASAP!)
  5. Finish the laundry and do a "clean" on my washing machine.
~I have to say, I am very proud of myself for working out.  Even though the scale is not showing a loss, just me getting out and doing something more than sitting on the couch every night is making me feel better.  The construction notice I still need to find.  I am thinking it is somewhere in Andy's off.  Laundry was done and a clean cycle was run last night on the washer.  Technically this was not within the week, however; it was accomplished......sooooo lets count it.  :)

April 15-19th

  1. Put the construction notice piece of paper up on my front door (To be done ASAP!)
  2. Workout 3 times this week (Goal: Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  3. Drink more water and eat smaller portions.  It's all about portion control.

Five for 5 #15

Welcome Home, Saint Louis Cardinals
Happy Opening Day!!

It's time to link up for my 5 for Five!
Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Aqua=goal reached, Pink=goal not reached}

April 1-5
  1. Work out 3 times this week
  2. Eat dinner at home 5 nights this week
  3. Finish laundry from the weekend
  4. Vacuum the upstairs (just didn't get to it over the weekend with company over)
  5. Clean and organize the pantry
  • What a week!!
  • Working out was a success!  I am so proud of myself.  Tuesday and Thursday were spent at the gym.  Wednesday was a long and cold walk with Keeley.  Thursday I also took the time to walk a mile on my lunch.  Go me!
  • Eating dinner at home 5 nights this week just didn't happen....bad Jessica.  On Thursday I had no desire to make dinner, so Penn Station made it for us.  Haha.  I had a 10" tuna no pickle.  I felt guilty with my large choice of sandwich and then my neighbor wanted to go workout so I went with her.  I'll just pat myself on the back now...HAHA!
  • Vacuuming is complete and we have a very clean house!  :)
  • Oh the pantry, I just didn't get to it.  It is on my list of to do eventually but to be honest my pantry isn't that bad.  It was just a goal to do just because.

Onto the goals for:

April 8-12th

  1. Workout 3 times this week
  2. Eat dinner at home 4 nights this week
  3. Sew some more on my cross stitch (I feel so old saying that....LOL)
  4. Put the construction notice piece of paper up on my front door (To be done ASAP!)
  5. Finish the laundry and do a "clean" on my washing machine.  (I'll post about this one day)

  • Easter was a success!  More on that Tuesday.
  • Sewing has been great!  Ill have to show you all soon what I am working on.  It's nothing too major, just something fun.

5 for Five #13

Good Morning!

We're trying to dig out from all of the snow we received in a 24 hour period, 14+ inches to be exact.  It is absolutely crazy that we received that much snow!!  More on that tomorrow.

So, let's get right to it, time to link up for my 5 for Five!
Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Green=goal reached, Red=goal not reached}

March 18-22

  1. Vacuum the house
  2. Finish the weekend laundry
  3. Get in one workout this week
  4. Keep working on my quilt
  5. Celebrate my 29th Birthday on Tuesday and have a great time!
5/5, YAY!!!

  • With working on my quilt, I gave myself credit but didn't really work on my quilt.  Here's my explanation   I decided to work on this stocking that I had purchased a couple years ago.  It was easier to work on in front of the tv instead of my big sewing machine.  I also think I am scared to scratch my new kitchen table up with the sewing machine.  So I am giving myself a green for the sewing because sewing really did happen!  :)
  • The working out, it happened, but not what you think.  Im going to count shoveling the driveway as my workout!  ;)  It totally counts.  We have about a foot of snow at 3pm on Sunday.
March 25-29

  1. Workout two times this week (this will happen because the new gym opens on the 25th Monday!)
  2. Get lists and grocery supply lists done and completed this week for Easter
  3. Grocery shop for Easter dinner
  4. Keep on sewing :)
  5. Healthy eating all week long (the diet started Sunday)

5 for Five #12

Good Evening!

Yes, I said evening.  What a Monday it's been.  This cold thing that I've been fighting since Friday is kicking my butt.  In fact I went home early from work today.  Not normal for me, but I was having a hard time concentrating at work with my head cold.  I had lots to do but felt that calling applicants to schedule for an interview this week while I sound soooo sexy with my stuffed up nose voice was not the best of ideas.

So, let's get right to it, time to link up for my 5 for Five!
Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Green=goal reached, Red=goal not reached}

March 11-15

  1. Workout 2 times this week
  2. Walk on lunch or around the neighborhood at least 3 times this week
  3. No candy will be eaten this week
  4. Clean off my desk at home
  5. Keep working on my quilt
2/5

No comment on the not working out, I have no excuses and there's nothing much more to say.  I did manage to get myself sick, not sure how, but spent the entire Saturday on the couch lying there watching chick flicks and feeling crummy.  More about my weekend tomorrow.  But because I was sick, I did not get to my sewing machine or cleaning my desk.

Onto the goals at hand for

March 18-22

  1. Vacuum the house (normally a weekend chore, but was too sick to do it)
  2. Finish the weekend laundry
  3. Get in one workout this week (seriously, just one!! I NEED to do this!)
  4. Keep working on my quilt
  5. Celebrate my 29th Birthday on Tuesday and have a great time!

Check back next Monday, the 25th to find out how I did. :)

I will say, I had a rough week so a 4/5 on a rough week is a Gold Medal in my book!  :)

~We checked out the new gym, Complete Fitness on Tuesday night and I am pumped to get back into the gym!  I will say, I hate crowds and I know that there will be plenty of those when the gym officially opens on March 25th.....not looking forward to the crowds of people
~You'll laugh but I cleaned the master bathroom sink at the last minute before we went to bed just to get a green mark on here...haha!  Green is green people.  :)
~A big thank you goes out to my sister for helping me move the things I wanted out of the basement.

  5. Finish vacuuming the house (downstairs was completed on Saturday, upstairs still needs to be done)

3/5, better but could be better

~Dinner at home 4 out of 5 days was a success!!
~Working out, did not happen.  It snowed every day last week and this cold winter weather has put me in a funk.
~Drinking lots of water is great!

Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Green=goal reached, Red=goal not reached}

February 18-22

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Don't overeat!!
  3. Keep working on my sewing project.  It's really starting to come together
  4. No stressing out (especially with this "bad" weather they are calling for on Thursday)
  5. Dinner at home every weeknight: (yes, veggies will be served with every meal)
    1. Monday - leftovers from Saturday night (I'll be posting about it this week)
    2. Tuesday - Shake n Bake Chicken
    3. Wednesday - Spaghetti
    4. Thursday - Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
    5. Friday - Chicken Patty's
2/5, UGH!!!
Ok, so I'm annoyed at my week of goals.  I didn't do so hot!

~I had every desire to sew on Thursday after my half day of work (lots o snow and ice here), but got home and made a comfy spot on the couch.
~No stressing out, HA!!  Yeah, that did happen especially on Thursday with all that snow and ice.  I wish I could have been better at keeping the stress at bay, but there were some people who were not helping me to not stress out, in fact they were making things worse for me.  ~Dinner at home every night, I would just like to quote the husband, "You should just make your goal be dinner at home 4/5 days a week, you totally would get the goal then......"  Thanks husband for that help.

Ok, let's go to the new goals at hand, it's a new week and I can do this.  : )

February 25 - March 1

  1. Dinner at home 4 our of 5 nights this week.....(Ok husband, WE HAVE TO GET THIS GOAL!)
  2. Workout 2 times this week (major slacker over here on the working out...)

  5. Finish vacuuming the house (downstairs was completed on Saturday, upstairs still needs to be done)
Ok, I can do this!

Bring it on week, let me show you who is the boss around here.

5 for Five #8

Happy Presidents Day!

Oh how I wish I was off work today, but instead it's a payroll Monday for me. BOO!
Okie doke, time to link up for my 5 for Five!
Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

FantasticallyAverage

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Green=goal reached, Red=goal not reached}

February 11-15

  1. Workout at least 2 times this week.
  2. Drink, drink, drink lots of water!  NO SODA!  :)
  3. Start a new sewing project: a quilt for the living room
  4. Don't overeat!!!!
  5. Dinner at home every weeknight: (yes, veggies will be served with every meal)
    1. Monday - BBQ Cups
    2. Tuesday - Shake n Bake Chicken
    3. Wednesday - Spaghetti
    4. Thursday - Hamburger Helper
    5. Friday - Chicken Patty's
3/5 not so bad!

I did really well with no soda all week long, and then the weekend came and those Diet Ginger Ale's were staring at me on Sunday with my taco bell.  And then we stop to get gas in my car Sunday night and Andy runs into get me a soda at 8pm (a Diet Dr Pepper with Cherry), what in the world was I thinking!?!!  I slept maybe 2-3 hours last night....Caffeine has never effected me like it did last night.  Never again will I do that.  That was my first Diet Dr Pepper in a couple weeks and man it was good but HELLO caffeine....
I did start my quilt over the weekend and am happy to report it's going really well!!
I did really really well with not overeating  and then again, the weekend came...god I HAVE to stop doing that to myself...
Dinner at home was a fail because Tuesday I wasn't too hungry and we had a coupon for a free Papa John's pizza, so we ordered it and I of course had to get cheese sticks....bad me.  Thursday was Valentine's Day too (man I was not thinking when I did my goals), Andy took me to Olive Garden for dinner but we celebrated on Friday night.
Ok, enough rambling

Lets get to this week's goals at hand:

February 18-22

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Don't overeat!!
  3. Keep working on my sewing project.  It's really starting to come together
  4. No stressing out (especially with this "bad" weather they are calling for on Thursday
  5. Dinner at home every weeknight: (yes, veggies will be served with every meal)
    1. Monday - leftovers from Saturday night (I'll be posting about it this week)
    2. Tuesday - Shake n Bake Chicken
    3. Wednesday - Spaghetti
    4. Thursday - Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
    5. Friday - Chicken Patty's
(I would like to note that yes, my menu looks pretty familiar to last week, however; I will say that I don't always stick to my dinner plans I put on here, it's really a way for me to plan out my meals but I don't have to stick to this one on this night only. Only one thing is a repeat from last week)

Hope your week goes by fast and stress-free!!  :)

5 for Five #7

Happy Monday Morning!!

OK, time to link up for my 5 for Five!
Thanks to Jenn and Jessica for this fabulous link up as always!!

FantasticallyAverage

Here's how I did last week at my goals:
{Green=goal reached, Red=goal not reached}

February 4th - 8th

  1. Get my lunch walks in at least 3 times this week
  2. Workout at least 3 times this week
  3. Drink 4 (20oz) water bottles a day
  4. Not stress out so much! Relax and just get through the week as best as possible
  5. Dinner at home every weeknight this week (I'm planning it now so I stick to it)
So 2/5, it's an ok week.  But I cant always beat myself up over my goals.  I just have to try my hardest and move on with the new week ahead!  :)  I will say, my lunch walks only happened twice last week.  The weather has been odd lately and I had NO desire to walk on Friday, so goal number 1, equals red.  Goal numero dos, working out only happened on Friday...RED! Goal number three, yay for water!  :)  Goal number four, not stressing out so much, I think I did good.  Goal numero quatro, dinner at home all days.  So we did really, really good until Thursday night.  We had a meeting that went long that night, so Mickey D's called our name and dinner was it.

Lets get to this week's goals at hand:

February 11-15

  1. Workout at least 2 times this week.
  2. Drink, drink, drink lots of water!  NO SODA!  :)
  3. Start a new sewing project: a quilt for the living room
  4. Don't overeat!!!!
  5. Dinner at home every weeknight: (yes, veggies will be served with every meal)
    1. Monday - BBQ Cups
    2. Tuesday - Shake n Bake Chicken
    3. Wednesday - Spaghetti
    4. Thursday - Hamburger Helper
    5. Friday - Chicken Patty's

My weekend was fabulous as usual, it just always go by so fast, that I feel like I never get enough time to enjoy it all!

Hope your week goes by fast and stress-free!!  :)
