Pregnancy Body Pillow vs. The Normal Body Pillow

Oh pregnancy and all the joys it brings.  When I first found out I was pregnant in 2013, I was SOOO excited (like I wouldn't be....) and I had Andy order me a pregnancy pillow.  You know, those goofy body pillows for pregnant women.  Seriously, I had one ordered at 5 weeks pregnant I think.  I tried to sleep on it a couple of times and just couldn't get use to it.  Well as you all know on July 29th, 2013, we found out we lost the baby.  I was upset looking at that stupid body pillow that I threw it in the back of my closet and tried to keep it out of my visible way.

January 2, 2014 we received the thrilling news that we were expecting once again.  In the early weeks of pregnancy I got that silly Snoogle out and give it a try again.  I still wasn't in love with it, but was having some mild back pain, so I tried to use it again.  It was still a No-Go.  I decided to just go to Target and purchase a plain old body pillow, you know just the long rectangle pillow. Sleeping with that body pillow made my back hurt way less and it was worth it for $10 for pillow and finding a pillow case on clearance for $5!

Well last week I decided to hurl out the pregnancy pillow one more time, thinking it would be nicer to sleep with now that I was almost 30 weeks pregnant.......HA!  Awful sleep experience once again.  The way they designed this pillow I did not find comfortable at all.

My frustrations with the pillow are:
1.  The curvature that you use around your neck, it kills!  I really love my pillow and had no desire to get rid of it, but if you want to use the Snoogle, you say "Bye Bye" to your favorite pillow.
2.  The seam digs into your neck.  Not comfortable at all.
3.  The "pillowcase" that they give you with the Snoogle.  So scratching and thin, disliked it very much.  In fact, I disliked it so much that I sewed my own pillowcase for the Snoogle.
4.  It's not very wide.  I mean I don't want a pillow that takes up my entire King sized bed, but I don't want to feel like I am sleeping on a teeny pillow (especially with what you pay for the thing).
5.  If you don't use the neck part of the pillow, then it won't cuddle/support you like it should, then it doesn't help your back or support your belly.
6.  The price!  $65 for a pregnancy pillow that is not comfortable.

In all, I have to say that the normal 'ol Body Pillow won and the pregnancy pillow lost.  Sorry pregnancy pillow, maybe it you made some better moderation's, I might try you out again.

These opinions are solely mine and I was not asked to write a summary of the Snoogle body pillow.  I just thought I would share my own opinions and let people know what my findings are.  I found many people who love the Snoogle, but unfortunately, I am not one of them.

I have a preggo body pillow, too and I never use it. It's just so large. I find it to be comfy, but in the way. I just use an overly stuffed square pillow between my legs now.

I like C shaped pregnancy pillow for better sleep, because they are custom designed to support my whole body. I found its pretty comfortable than normal pillow. I have to say it’s been pretty nice not having to readjust normal pillows every time I roll over in the night!

Motherhood is one of the most special and treasured times of a woman's life. During her pregnancy, a woman is believed to be in her most beautiful state. Though motherhood is highly esteemed, it can be tiring and sometimes painful for the women who have to carry an extra load in their bodies. http://pregnancypillowfor.me

Nice blog I admire the way you gives this information about body pillow, but to make those body pillow fresh and free from Bactria you must have to choose right body pillow covers which protect your body pillow for a long time.
