Welcome to another weekend edition of Sunday Social!

Sorry I have been absent from this linkup the past couple of weeks.  The month of May has been a busy one and I just ran out of time every weekend!!

1. What is your favorite social media outlet?

I love facebook and now my blogger.  Facebook is nice to keep up to date with relatives and friends.  I love blogger because I get to keep up with my favorite blogs all of the time now.  I just discovered Bloglovin' on my iPhone 5 several weeks ago and it is so nice to use and keep up to date with those blogs!  I do like to keep up with instagram also.  It's neat to see my favorite bloggers who post daily photos!

2. Do you subscribe to any daily new reads? If so, which ones?

Nothing new lately, the month of May has been a busy one and I haven't had a lot of time to start new blogs right now.

3. What is your favorite magazine to have by the pool?

My favorite magazine is People magazine.  My mom subscribes to it and will save me issues to read while over at her house.  With this day and age and able to read all news on the internet, I dont keep up with magazine's as much as I use too.

4. What is your favorite summertime song?

I don't have a certain favorite summertime song, but every summer there seems to be that official summer song, we shall see what this year's will be.  There are several songs right now that I am loving, but I am sure I will start to get annoyed with them since radio likes to overplay songs over and over again. 

5. What is the best summer concert you've been to?

Oh, no question about it!  *NSync!!  I LOVED seeing them and so wish they would get back together.  I thought about seeing Justin Timberlake in concert but I purchsed one of his concert DVD's several years back and was so thrilled to watch it.  I watch it and my thrilled(ness) went away, FAST!  It was not good at all.  I hate it when artists take their popular songs and "change" them.  Soooooo annoying.  Just sing the dang song dude!

This week these questions are all about your childhood.

1. Did you sleepwalk as a child?

No, but apparently I was a really big mover when I slept.  I am told that at night, I would fall asleep at the head of the bed, in the middle of the night I would turn myself to the foot at the bed and by the time I woke up I would be back at the head of the bed.  Weird....

2. Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house?

Heck no!  I am a goody good!  All I had to do was ask if could go somewhere.  Normally it was a yes unless we had something planned with the family.  It helped having Ali down the street from me.  My time to come home at night was when the street lights turned on.  

3. Did you have any imaginary friends?

Nope, never.

4. Did you ever go toilet papering?

Once, my senior year.  We toilet papered our band director's house because we placed 1st at a band competition.

5. Did you ever sneak tv shows you weren't allowed to watch?

Nope, never had that problem.

Bonus Question:

What were your favorite old school toys you played with?

My Nosy Bear, you pushed the tummy at the balloon in the nose would blow up

Cabbage Patch Kids, I am pretty sure I had the one on the top.  The second one my cousin Julie had and I loved that thing!!

My brother got this flash light one year for either Christmas or his Birthday and we use to play with it when we were suppose to go to bed.  You could change the light color, either clear, red or green.

Who remember's when McDonalds gave these away as a Happy Meals  Toy one Christmas?  It's the Muppet Babies!!!  I loved the Muppet Babies!

I have no clue, I only have twitter to follow my favorite radio shows, new stories and celebrities.  Maybe I  joined early last year??

My sister even though she posts on twitter the photos she posts on instagram.  :) 

3. Who is your favorite celeb to follow?

4. Have you ever had a celeb respond to a tweet?

No, I wish!  I really, really wanted Justin Timberlake to RT me a Happy Birthday, but he didn't....dang!  You know, he only has 18.7 MILLION followers!!! Geez!

5. What is your favorite store/brand to follow?

Toms  and Joann Fabrics and Crafts

I do not use my twitter very often.  In fact, I only have 5 followers and I am OK with that.  Really twitter is my way of getting news from celebrities.  Otherwise, I am not on it that much.  In fact, I try to stay away from it on the weekdays because I find some celebrities like to tweet along with their shows that they are on and give away things that happened on the show that night.  I normally will DVR episodes and catch up on it days later.

1. What is your favorite outfit pin?

In honor of Opening Day here in Saint Louis, on Monday April 8th.

My favorite Cardinals Outfit!  :) 

Only exception I would make, replace those red shoes (not cute) and wear red Toms :) 

They should make Toms in Baseball teams, Cardinals especially!!! 

2. What is your favorite food pin?

3. What is your favorite wedding pin?

I use to have a bunch of wedding pins but took them off of my board after I got married last year.  But I will say, I LOVE these nails and would totally have them done like this.

4. What is your favorite DIY/craft pin?

Chevron Quilt

I am sort of working on this.  I started it a couple months ago, just haven't had a desire to get the sewing machine out lately and work on it.  I really love it though and hope to get it done one day.  :)

These are all about spring!

1. What is your favorite thing about spring?

The beautiful warm weather!  I love to go outside, walk my dog, barbecue, plant flowers, open the windows in the house

2. What is your favorite kind of flower to grow or receive?

My favorite flower to grow are lily's and pansy's.  My favorite flower to receive is either roses or tulips.  Maybe I will plant some tulips this year!  :) 

3. What is your favorite nail polish color?

I normally gravitate towards a pink color, normally a bright pink or a sparkly pink.

4. What is your favorite outdoor activity?

I love to walk around my neighborhood, and I love to ride my bicycle.  

Man, this post is making me want to go outside and ride my bike!!

Too bad it snowed....

5. Do you have any fun spring plans? Details! :)

Our spring plans are to:

• finish the basement
• for me to plant some flowers in the front of our house
• for me to participate in a 5K (see how I didn't say run, HA!  More like walking)
• travel to Wisconsin for a long weekend
• possibly take a mini vacation over Memorial Weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary?

 I've always wanted to get into Secret Life of an American Teenager

I'm not much of a daring personality kind of girl

4. Would you ever travel alone?

Yep and I have.  I travelled to Florida twice on my own.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?

Cooking, sometimes it's silent in my house while I am cooking and I love it.

1.  "Love Song" by 311 (Our first dance as Husband and Wife)
2. "Close to You" by The Carpenters (My Mom use to sing this to me as a baby)
3. "Run Around" by Blues Traveler (Reminds me of Ali when she got the CD, we use to listen to it all the time

"God Must Have Spent A Little More Time on You" by *NSync (great song with a lot of meaning when growing up.  Great moment came at my reception, Andy and I slow danced to it and he was singing it and it made me tear up.  When that song was popular I had a hard time in junior high and it kept reminding me that life will eventually look up.  Having him sing it made me realize that life really did look up for me)
5. "Drops of Jupiter" by Train (reminds me of Senior year with Kristina and Jeanne)

2. 5 things on your bucket list

1. Become a mother
2. Run a 5K (Happening in April!!)
3. Be more active: working out regularly, going for bike rides, walking the dog daily

1. New York City (Christmas time to see the Tree light up, ice skate in Rocefeller Plaza, see outside at the Today show while it's being taped, see Times Square, get tickets to a live show)

1. Honestly, I do not have any particular books on my reading list, I just find a book that sounds good and just read it.  
2. I do love the following authors: Nicholas Sparks and Emily Griffin
3. My awesome husband did get me a Kindle Paperwhite reader for Christmas, it's easier to read books on there, especially when we travel
4. The last book I read: "Something Blue" by Emily Griffin.  Loved it!
5. My all time favorite book: "The Man Who Loved Clowns" by June Rae Wood

 I wasn't home a total of 15 minutes from pedicures and Mokes was already cuddling with his mama.

Valentine's Day

1. What is the best Valentine's Day you've ever had?

My first Valentine's Day with Andy in 2010!  He took me to a movie, "Valentine's Day" at the Galleria and to dinner at Maggianos.  It has snowed that night and was a beautiful drive home.  

2. What is the worst Valentine's Day you've ever had?

I don't think I ever had a bad Valentine's day that I can remember, it sucked being single on Valentine's Day, but I lived.  :) 

3. What did you do for Valentine's this year?

Nothing actually, we "celebrated" Valentine's Day that day after.  Andy took me to Olive Garden for dinner.  We decided on no presents since we just purchased a kitchen table and we purchased my birthday present early this year.  It was an amazing deal on Groupon that we couldn't pass up.  Once it comes in, I will post about it :) 

4. What is your best Valentine's idea if you're single?

Girls night with your best girlfriends! :) 

5. What is your favorite Valentine's candy?

Those conversation hearts!  Not sure why, but I do love them.

6. Favorite Valentine's memory from your childhood?

None that I can remember.

So far, this has been my favorite Sunday Social so far!

1. What was your first car?
My first car was a 2000 Hyundai Accent, Red

2. Who was your favorite childhood teacher?
I had many favorite teacher's, I think going back wayyy in time, my favorites were Mrs. Stacy (4th grade) and Mrs. Needham (High School English, Junior and Senior Year)

3. Were you involved in any sports/extracurricular activities? Share pictures if you can!

I played basketball in 7th and 8th grade

In high school I was in the marching band (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Year)

4. What was your favorite birthday party?
The coolest birthday party was my 17th birthday party.  My friends threw me a surprise party.  I worked that night at Hallmark and after work I went over to Kristina's house and was surprised with a party for me.  We had the best time!  :) 

5. Who was your teen celebrity crush?
Justin Timberlake all the way!  I may have not gotten to marry him, but at least he married a Jessica ;) 

6. What show/movie did your parents not allow you to watch?

When ER first came on, my mom would not allow me to watch it because it had "graphic" nature to it, but let me a couple season's in.  ER is a very memorable show in my life.  When I walked down the aisle getting married I walked down to the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel 'IZ" Ka'ano'i Kamakawiso'ole.  It's the Hawaiian version of the song.  It comes from when one of the Doctors, Dr. Greene passes away in Hawaii from a brain tumor.  I have watched that one episode about 6 times and cry like a freaking baby through the whole thing everytime, the song is just so moving in that episode.  Sounds very depressing, but the song the way it's played is so very moving.  My poor mom didn't know that, that very song was the one I was walking down the aisle too and of course she cried hard core because she watched that very same thing with me.  If/when I have a daughter her name will be Ella after Dr. Greene's daughter from the show also.  The minute they said her name, was the minute I knew that if/when I had my own daughter, I would name her Ella.  Love, love, LOVE that name!!
