Pumpkin Patch 2014

I love going to the pumpkin patch. It's my favorite fall family tradition and I look forward to going every year, this year was no different. This year though was a bit more special to me because I have my own little one to bring with me. He was crabby the day before so I wasn't so sure how he would do but he surprised us all with being so happy! A little bit of fresh air really does help! :)

When we arrived at the pumpkin patch we purchased our tickets to ride the hay wagon. We decided to not use the stroller at the pumpkin patch because it had rained all weekend before and I knew it was going to be muddy.  Plus getting a stroller through a pumpkin patch just doesn't sound fun.  So instead of stroller we used the Ergo carrier.  This was my first time using the Ergo and I LOVED it!  We also have a Moby wrap, but the Ergo is so easy to put the baby in.

Walking through the pumpkin patch was a little difficult because some parts of the patch were just too muddy.  I always forget how much I don't like getting dirty until I am in a situation where I have to get dirty.  Andy and I decided to not get pumpkins this year.  One reason is because Luke is just too young to even carve pumpkins.  Two is because with having a brand new baby, I just didn't get around to decorating for the holiday.  You better believe that I will be decorating for Christmas though! :)

After the patch we snapped some cute photos and let my nephew and niece run around.  Andy and I wandered around and found a cute little country store that was selling jams and honey.  We picked up some Sweet Cherry Jam and some Strawberry Honey.  Both tasted delicious several days later with some dinner rolls that I made to go with dinner.
