16 Week - Bump Date

  How far along: 16 Weeks

Baby Size: The size of an avocado, 3.5 oz. and 4.5 inches long

Weight gain:  still at -3 pounds

Maternity clothes: I made the switch over to maternity pants over the weekend, not because the regular pants didn't fit, but because I didn't have any clean jeans and I wanted to wear jeans so I tried the maternity jeans on and was in HEAVEN!!!  I haven't stopped wearing maternity pants since.  :)  Maternity leggings also.

Stretch marks: None so far!

Sleep: Getting much better.  I have "trained" myself well in getting up to use the restroom in the middle of the night and then walking back to back and back to sleep immediately.  Here's hoping that sticks...

Gender: It's a BOY!

Movement: None, but can't wait!  I swear I've felt him move a couple times, but then I think I haven't so I'm not sure if I have yet or not.

Best moment this week: Starting to work on the nursery with Andy!

Looking forward to: warmer weather and feeling baby boy move around

Food cravings: fresh veggies sticks with ranch to dip and Cola slushies

Anything making you queasy or sick: Eggs, Guacamole, and most Italian foods

Labor Signs: Nothing and that's a GOOD thing!

What I miss: turkey sandwiches (not going to lie, I may have had 1 or 2 Tom's Turkey's from Jimmy John's since becoming pregnant....)

Symptoms: I am FINALLY starting to look pregnant.  Everyday I swear the bump keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Nursery: Just getting started!

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Mood: been pretty good this week.  I do cry at silly little things, like TV shows but its not a full on bawl, its little tears.  I want to say my energy is coming back, however; last night while watching "The Little Couple" I zonked out on the couch for a good 30 minutes.  Come on nicer weather so, I can get out of the house a little bit more. I'm also ready to start walking on my lunch again like I did last year!

Free Birthday Offers!!

I don't know about you all, however; I LOVE rewards cards from retailers and restaurants.  I find that I can get some awesome deals from most and some crummy ones from others.  My favorite part about rewards cards is when you put your birthday in.  That means they give a free birthday gift!!

This year I received many free offers from retails and restaurants.

Qdoba sent me a coupon, buy one entree get one free!
Steak n Shake sent me a coupon, a free double burger!
Cheeburger Cheeburger sent me a coupon, a free shake with a purchase of a burger.

Sephora sent me an offer for a free mini lipstick and mascara.
Ulta sent me an offer for a free full sized mascara.
Bare Minerals sent me an offer for a free full sized eye shadow (it was a really decent color too!)

I highly suggest anyone to sign up for a rewards cards and get those birthday's in so you can also redeem in those free offers like I did!  :)

"Do You Want to Build a Snowman"

Is it just me, or do you also just love not really having plans for over the weekend?  Don't get me wrong, I do love plans, it's just sometimes when you "wing" your weekend, it's nice to not think of everything I have to do.

Friday night was a relaxing night.  We had homemade pizza and watched a movie.  A low key night that ended with me in bed by 8:30 PM, which I am more than OK with!!

Saturday it was still in the air if Andy had to work or not.  We spent the morning cleaning the house a bit and then just relaxing until he went in a 2 PM.  (Yes, he had to go in....bummer!!)  I spent the rest of the day with my mama.  We shopped at Target (like that's surprising there....haha!), ate dinner together and her and my dad came over and watched a movie.  We watched "Captain Phillips".  It really was a great movie.  Also, we did stop by Target for a second time that day because my mom and I had the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" stuck in our head alllllll dayyyyyyy long!  So to remedy that situation, we went out and purchased the soundtrack to actually learn all the words....HAHA!  It is now my "go-to" CD in the car.  Andy didn't end up getting home from work until 3:30 AM Sunday morning.  :(

Sunday we spent the morning relaxing once again.  I let Andy sleep in (obviously since he got in so late) and he woke up around 11 AM.  We went out for a bit.  Went to Kohl's to spend our $20 in Kohl's cash that we earned 2 weeks ago.  We had the hardest time spending that dang $20 dollars.....We ended up getting me a black robe.  Pretty boring but I thought it would come in handy when I am in the hospital.  We went to Home Depot to pick out baby room colors.  I think I finally have the color scheme down that I want to do.  We also went grocery shopping...so not fun!

Speaking of baby room, I found out that Andy is willing to make one of the walls in the baby room in chevron stripes!!!!!!  I am soooooo excited about this because I never thought he would agree to that!  Now I just need to nail down the official colors of the room and we can get started on the room!  One of my many baby website apps on my phone told me yesterday, "Now that your baby room is ready to go, it's time to start on furniture..."  Say what!?!!!  Most people don't even know what they are having at 15 weeks.....  Our awesome neighbors have been willing to help Andy with the chevron stripes in the room.  Also our neighbors have a "sticker printer". You know like those words or designs that you can put on walls and everything!?!!!  Hello ideas for baby room and all around the house!!  HAHA!!

OK, that's about it for the weekend, how about some photos from the weekend.  :)

Keeley walk!  Happy pup!

My tulips are blooming!!!!

The cat grass is growing!
This reminds me that I need to bring this inside tonight since it's colder and might snow.....

The "Frozen" soundtrack!

Keeley was bummin....her mama took her squeeky ball away while her dad was sleeping....

I spy 2 sleepy aminals.....

Took a little bump pic Sunday morning, it's starting to look like more of a baby bump!

Keeley decided she wanted a little bit of attention, can we say "Spoiled"!!

I was folding laundry in our bedroom and walk into the laundry room and Smokey found himself a new spot to lie in.

Comfy as can be!

My mom making favorite chicky for dinner Saturday night!
I helped make the mashed potatoes, corn and garlic bread!  :)

Happy Friday - Birthday Edition!

This morning when my alarm went off, I was so happy to remember that it was Friday!  Not that I had a bad week, just excited to get some sleep this weekend.  This pregnancy is still kicking me in the butt!

{ONE}

Baby K is a HE!  We found out on March 11th and we are thrilled!  I'll be honest, I SWORE that Baby K was a she.  I would have even bet money on it, and I am not a betting money kind of girl. To hear that Baby K is a Boy was a shock at first and then I started to get all these new ideas in my head for the nursery!  I even went out with my mama last Saturday to do a little BOY shopping at Babies R Us!  My mom got Baby K, 2 new outfits.

The turkey butt is SOOOO cute!  The front of it says, "My First Thanksgiving".  We also loved the whale outfit, with the cute little whale feet.  :)  I also picked up 4 pairs of pants at Target for Baby K ($2.50 a piece!) in sizes 3 and 6 months.

{TWO}

Wednesday marked my 30th Birthday!  My work surprised me with a HUGE cookie cake and a cute Birthday balloon!  It brought me a smile to my face that morning while I walked into my office half asleep.

{THREE}

For lunch on my Birthday, I met up with my best friend Ali and her two adorable sons Sam and Max.  We ate at Lion's Choice (where else would I want to eat at?!?!!  LOL)  She had these BEAUTIFUL flowers and the adorable baby items for me!  Andy LOVED the onesie and the bip is just TOO cute!!  I can't wait for Baby K to be here!!!

{FOUR}

My mom is seriously, the BEST!!  We had her stop by our house to let Keeley out after work and feed the hangry animals.  She surprised me with this BEAUTIFUL tulip arrangement!  I also had to screen shot that text between me and her cause I love her so!  I don't know where I would be without that woman!  Can we also talk about how cute that vase is?!?!!  It a big pink mason jar!  LOVE IT!!!  That arrangement is very me.  :)

{FIVE}

Can we talk about how AMAZING my husband is?!?!!  Seriously, he pulled a HUGE surprise to me by getting me this DSLR camera.  The card has a real whoppie cushion in it and yes we tried it out to see if it really worked.  So funny!  Then in the bag was my camera.  I was talking about how I REALLY wanted my own DSLR camera (even though I have no idea how to use one yet) and he kept telling me that they are too expensive.  I of course knew they were too and was still happy with my other digital camera so thought nothing of him actually getting me a DSLR!  This thing is SO light weight and takes some awesome photos!  I can't wait to get some time this weekend to play with it and really get to know the ins and outs of the camera! Thanks to youtube, I should be able to get to know this camera really well before Baby K arrives.  :)

{SIX} (bonus photos!)

I chose for my Birthday dinner to be at the Cheesecake factory.  Since I do not have a big appetite, I chose a small cesear salad and the appetizer of Fried Mac n Cheese!  We did get some vanilla bean cheesecake to eat at home and you know what, its still sitting in the fridge....that might have to be devoured tonight.

15 Week - Bump Date!

(not going to lie, hate the double chin....so not liking these photos much!
This photo was also taken at the end of the day with a day's worth of food in my belly.  In the morning the belly is smaller.)

  How far along: 15 Weeks

Baby Size: The size of an apple, 2.5 ounces

Weight gain: -3 pounds

Maternity clothes: Only wearing maternity leggings with dresses.  Otherwise, its the rubber band trick with the pants.

Stretch marks: None so far!

Sleep: Some nights good, other's not so good.

Gender: It's a BOY!
Movement: None, but can't wait!

Best moment this week: Celebrating my 30th Birthday with family and friends

Looking forward to: warmer weather and feeling baby Boy move around

Food cravings: fresh veggies and Cola slushies

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in general makes me sick, just some foods don't taste good at all.

Labor Signs: Nothing and that's a GOOD thing!

What I miss: Craving foods!

Symptoms: still a little morning sickness, going to try out some sea-sick bands because I don't think I can handle this sickness much longer.  My old doctor has mentioned to me several times that he can get me a prescription for the sickness, but I really don't want to take any medicines unless I absolutely have too.  (Don't get me wrong, when it comes to labor, I am for the epidural ALL THE WAY!)

Nursery: still need to get back to Lowe's for those paint cards, right now I am thinking a fun blue color with a grey and white striped wall (one wall only of stripes).  I am also going with a slight "Finding Nemo" theme.  Can't wait to get started on the nursery!!

The BIG 3-0!

As of this morning, at 6:42 AM to be exact, I officially said goodbye to my 20's and said hello to my 30's!  Say what?!?!!!!  Seriously, to actually now say that I am 30 years old is really weird.

I woke up this morning and got ready for work like I always do.  Dry heaved a good 6 times in the kitchen this morning, even though I ate a little something (dry cereal) while getting ready in the bathroom.  (Just keeping it real people) Tears started to flow after getting sick once again.  I am sooooooo tired of getting sick.  15 weeks starts tomorrow and I am so hoping this morning sickness goes away soon!  I'm even thinking about going to get those sea sickness bands, has anyone tried those out before?

I walked into my office this morning to a huge surprise.  A giant, "Happy Birthday" Balloon, a HUGE cookie cake and a card signed by everyone in the office.  Not going to lie, it put a smile on my face to see all that on my desk.  Now all I want to do is face plant that cookie cake right now....lol!  But I will wait until everyone get's in.  :)

Plans tonight, dinner at Cheesecake Factory.  Special thanks to my mom for stopping by my house after work and letting Keeley out and feeding both of them.  It helps that she does that so we dont have to drive all the way home and then back out in traffic again.  :)

First selfie of my 30's!  LOL

Spring is in the air!

Oh how I hope I just didn't jinx the weather in St. Louis, but it really does feel like spring is in the air!  I hope spring stays for a bit and then summer comes when it's summer time.  :)

Also, if you didn't see, I am day behind in getting my Week 14 - Bump Date out.  So I put it up bright and early this morning.  Click above on the link to read it.

ONE -
I have been wanting to grow some cat grass for Smokey and found these seeds at Target yesterday!  The pot I found at Michael's in a "grab bag" for a whopping $1 I think.  Right now the seeds are hanging out, outside in the pot and going to catch some rays the next 2 days.  I need to remember to bring that pot in on Saturday night though.  We are expected to get rain/snow on Sunday.  BOO!

TWO -
First dress of the year!  I have worn dresses 4 out of the 5 days this week!  I feel so much more comfortable wearing dresses right now, rather than wearing pants.

THREE -
Maternity leggings!  The regular leggings I have were starting to dig into my stomach and I hated the feeling.  So I went out and used my Target Cartwheel coupon (40% of maternity bottoms) and picked me up a pair of Maternity leggings.  They are soooooooooo comfy!  In fact, I am wearing them right now.

FOUR -
Andy and I went to Kohl's on Sunday and found these adorable Finding Nemo toys for Baby K! We were originally only going to get the Squirt toy, but then we needed to spend just $5 more dollars to get the $10 Kohl's Cash, so we got the Nemo toy also!

FIVE -
The start of Baby K's blanket/quilt that I am making.  I think it is going to come out so cute!!  :)

14 Week - Bump Date!

  How far along: 14 Weeks

Baby Size: The size of a lemon, 1.5 oz

Weight gain: -3 pounds (up 1 pound from last week)

Maternity clothes: Still none.  With the weather getting warmer, I've been able to wear dresses 3 times this week!  I've been wearing regular leggings, but I don't think they are going to cut it for very long.  Maternity leggings, here I come!

Stretch marks: None so far! My Honest Company "Belly Balm" should be here today!  It took over a week for FedEx to send it from Las Vegas to my house.....the package must say, take many days for this to travel to Missouri.  HA!

Sleep: Some nights good, other's not so good.  Monday night sleep was AMAZING!  Tuesday I felt like a new woman and then Tuesday nights sleep, whomp whomp...  My goal every night is to have the TV turned off at 9 pm and to try to go to sleep since I get up so early.  Most times it works.

Gender: Would you all be shocked to find out that we know?!?  LOL!!  I plan on sharing the gender next week.  I'm thinking on my birthday is good day to share.  :)  We thank modern medicine and the fact that a simple blood test for chromosomes tells us the gender now.

Movement: None, but can't wait!

Best moment this week: Finding out baby K's gender!  It was a day of phone tag with the doctor, but we did find out!

Looking forward to: warm weather sticking around!  This week has been nice except for yesterday (big winter coat and gloves were required).

Food cravings: nothing.  Nothing sounds good and nothing tastes good. Meh.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in general makes me sick, its just my taste buds like NOTHING!  We made breakfast for dinner last night and I made some cheese scrambled eggs to go with dinner.  They looked so good!  2 bites in and I couldn't eat them.  They did not taste good at all.

Labor Signs: Nothing and that's a GOOD thing!

What I miss: Craving foods!  Sounds really weird to say, but NOTHING sounds good and pretty much NOTHING tastes good.

Symptoms: still a little morning sickness and hormones are taking ova!  I cried my eyes out Monday morning over guilt of nothing sounding good for lunch and Andy kidding with me about going out to lunch for a 5th day in a row.  He really was kidding but I didn't take it that way.  Luckily the work lunch was hamburgers and I can stand them so no money went out the window for lunch that day for me.

Nursery: time to start picking out the colors for the nursery!  We picked up some color cards but now I am second guessing the colors....so it's back to Lowe's for more color cards!

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On!  In fact, my ring is "twirling" around my finger too much this morning that I took it off to type this.  That happens a lot in the winter.

Mood: HORMONES!!!  I've been pretty weepy this week!  I think I could cry at a drop of a hat...

Workouts: I did manage to get a walk in with Keeley on Monday and it felt great!  Tuesday we didn't, Wednesday it was too cold.  Today I am going to attempt to walk again with her since the high is in the 60's today.  NO EXCUSE!!
