Making the most of my weekend

First, I would like to say, Happy Veteran's Day and a BIG THANK YOU to all of Veteran's out there!!  Without the Veteran's, there wouldn't be this fabulous free country that we can call our home!

Second, I would like to say WELCOME to all of my new followers!!  I've been doing this blogging thing for a year and a month and love having new followers check out whats been going on in my world lately.  Typically I reserve my weekends for family and friends and try to blog all week long (Monday thru Friday).  Sometimes life gets in the way, but it happens, I am human after all!  :)  I at times think I am a middle of the road blogger.  I have a strong desire to become a mother, but until that time comes, I blog about food and things that I think are fun!

My weekends are typical but fun at times.  I have been getting much better at taking photos of my weekends; showing and writing about my weekends are much more fun that just writing.

Friday night I planned on meeting up with Ali for shopping at JoAnn's Fabrics, but due to an unfortunate case of the sickies, she had to cancel.  Bummer city!!  I spent the night watching TV and eating the ever fun dinner of PB&J (strawberry jelly if you must know).

Saturday I got up around 9am and prepared myself for painting all day long in the basement.  Andy was painting all of the trim while my father-in-law and I painted the walls with rollers.  We had the entire basement painted within 3 hours.  The hardest part of the basement to paint? Up the stairs!  After painting I did a bunch of cleaning around the house and started the ever dreaded laundry.  Andy's grandfather came in town from Michigan and the family went out to dinner to O'Charley's.  The food and company was a good way to the end our Saturday.  I ended up watching "The Family Stone" in bed, the first Christmas movie of the year.  I know it isn't exactly a Christmas movie, but it's based around Christmas time and I really like that movie.

White walls

And now they are grey!

Looking in from the sliding glass door.
See that open space to the left, that's where my sewing/crafting table will go!  :)

The wall to the left will stay white until Andy decides how he wants the wall to project the images from the projector.

Keeley sun-bathing!

Selfie of me with messy hair.  Andy was laughing at me when I was taking these too.

Putting up the light that will go over my sewing table.

Hi Keeley!

Of course I had to get a photo with my Keeley!

New light fixture that will be over my table.
We did get another bulb for this fixture also.

Cute photo of Andy and I waiting to be seated at dinner.

"I am Smokey, hear me ROAR"
OK so actually, he was mid-yawn with this photo, but it still cracks me up.

Melt my heart, how cute are these 2!?!
I found them sleeping in the same bed Saturday and Sunday night!!
This is a rare sight for Keeley here.

Sunday Andy decided he was going to make us some breakfast because let's face it, I wasn't in the mood to cook/bake.  He made us Bisquick Coffee Cake and it came out pretty darn good.  Not as good as mine, but pretty dang good.  :)  I planned on shopping with my mama and the boys were to put in the floors.  Well things didn't go as planned for the boys.  They thought for sure they would have all of the floors in that day, but this stupid cap in the floor gave them some trouble and it ended up taking most of their day up.  They did get several pieces of floor down, but not many.  Next weekend we should see the rest of the floor go in.  Shopping with my mom went well and I even found some things my mom could get me for Christmas.  Shocking since I have no idea what I would like for Christmas besides being pregnant or a vacation.  Both of which are not a good combo since my vacation time would be used for maternity time with having a baby....Poor Andy is going to have a tough time coming up with something to get me for Christmas.

The end result, YUM!!

The floors starting to go in

                        Keeley thinks she is helping.

Thanks! We're excited to see the final product with the white molding that will go along the floor. I think it will really pop then. :)
