WIAW #15

Happy What I Ate Wednesday!!

Today's menu comes from a dinner I had made last week:

Homemade Lasagna 


Ingredients
  • 1 package of lasagna noodles (no boil noodles)
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 15 oz of ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 TBSP parsley
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup parmigiana cheese
  • a jar of your favorite pasta sauce
Directions
  • cook the beef on your stove top until it is no longer pink
  • drain any grease in your beef
  • stir in pasta sauce to the beef
  • mix the egg, ricotta cheese, parmigiana cheese, parsley, and mozzarella cheese together in a bowl
  • layer the lasagna as follows:
    • sauce
    • noodles
    • cheese mixture
  • layer until the dish is full
  • add a handful of mozzarella cheese to the top of the lasagna
  • cover with foil
  • bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes with foil on
  • after 45 minutes, take foil off and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese browns




I may have made some homemade cheese garlic sesame bread to go with my lasagna.

I love lasagna! You should try it with Farfalle noodles, it's sooo good!
